If we look at the nature of one of the world’s greatest games – Craps, we can compare it to that of a cat. Cats are plotters. They carefully plan how they are going to execute their prey and then in a blink of an eye, they pounce and retrieve their win. Their bodies quiver in anticipation of controlling the whole event. Similarly, a Craps player anticipates that his throw of the dice will pounce onto the veldt, hit against the wall of the Craps table and produce a successful outcome on his bet.
Cats, as do Craps players have a lot of confidence. Each makes a bet that their pounce will produce the desired result. They make these bets over and over, and often walk away feeling quite chuffed with themselves and their accomplishments.
Imagine a clowder of chatty cats standing on their hind legs, around a Craps table, all huffing and puffing away at their cigars, while nonchalantly keeping an eye on the fat cat who throws the pouncing dice. Imagine their little paws greedily clasping the dice, scheming on how they are going to get their ‘fish and eat it’.
Naturally, cats are winners – it’s not very often that they lose control over games in which they engage in. They have a confident and proud mentality, whilst still letting go a little and having the time of their lives. This is exactly how Craps players should engage with the game – take it seriously when need be, focus on your goals and ambitions, but also allow yourself to have a lot of fun. To be honest, it will be very difficult to keep your cool and your screeches under your breath when taking part in this action-packed venture.
